The seasonality of our business is such that we regularly seek part-time and full-time seasonal help. For most positions, experience is helpful, but not required. We offer flexible schedules and a beautiful work environment!
Who We Are:
Edward’s Landscaping Service, Inc. is a 39 year old family owned and operated business. Our business consists of four divisions….
A “We plan, you plant” service, a grounds maintenance service, a five acre garden center (including a bulk materials yard) and a contractor supply service. Our continued success and growth is predominantly dependent upon our core customer base, who responds to a combination of our high quality products, the service they receive from our employees and the overall satisfaction they enjoy from their shopping experience with us.
As Wyoming Valley’s premier garden center, image is very important to us. To create and project a professional company image, we supply uniform garments in accordance with each person’s role in the company. Our customers have long come to recognize and appreciate the Edward’s mark of quality.
We are interested in people who like working with – and helping – other people, and we are interested in those who care enough about what they do and about our company and customers to go that extra mile each day. Our Physical Work Environment:
As in any garden center/landscape and maintenance service business, staff may work indoors, outdoors or both in all types of weather conditions including sun, heat, cold, rain, wind and snow. Many jobs may be physical and require frequent bending, grabbing and lifting. They may require staff to be on their feet all day, standing or walking and throughout it all; staff needs to be both pleasant and energetic. We encourage our staff to maintain good physical and mental preparedness to enable them to perform their work duties in a consistent high performance manner.
Our Social Work Environment:
We have a very social, caring and outgoing staff. It is important that all employees get along well with our customers, suppliers and staff and are a cohesive part of our team. We give employees freedom to express their creativity and encourage them to create an environment of visual excitement and overall a memorable shopping experience for our customers. Every employee carries their fair share and performs their responsibilities in an appropriate manner.
Our Customer Service:
Edward’s employees offer polite, prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and enthusiastic service with a smile. Our staff must have the ability to determine customer needs, offer solutions to their problems, have the ability to be patient when confronted with a challenge and continually seek knowledge of all of our products. Our customers time is valuable (as is ours) and the help they receive from our staff is nothing less than immediate and nothing short of excellent.
