Help Us Spread the Magic of the Season to Local Children

With eyes wide and anticipation high, children take just moments before tearing wrapping paper off gifts during the holidays. Whether it’s a new soccer ball, action figure, doll, book, or game, kids feel joy when they get something special…especially when it feels like Santa responded directly to their letter.

Even during digital times, Santa loves to receive handwritten letters.

This holiday season we are proud to be contributing to that feeling of joy that every child deserves to have, by participating with Wyoming Valley Children’s Association’s (WVCA)  Angel Tree Toy Drive.

Stop into our gift shop at Edward’s Garden Center where our Angel Tree is set up. Customers can choose an angel ornament bearing a child’s name, age, and wish list. Once customers choose a tag, they register with Edward’s Garden Center staff.

The children who are receiving gifts are preschool-aged and underprivileged.  Customers who choose to donate, will buy a Christmas present or school supplies and return the presents back to Edward’s unwrapped.

There will also be options to simply donate supplies to WVCA, which is in great need of paper towels, tissues, diapers, etc.

The program will run through December 12th.

Wyoming Valley Children’s Association prides itself on being inclusive – as WVCA serves children from birth to age 6 with a variety of developmental conditions, as well as typically developing children. Located at 1133 Wyoming Ave, Forty Fort, PA, WVCA’s facility consists of a school building, a handicap-accessible playground, and an outdoor STEAM learning classroom. WVCA also has one of the area’s few multisensory rooms.

We appreciate how generous our customers are and enjoy giving back to them as well. We hope you’ll give us the privilege of your time during the holiday season. Visit Edward’s Garden Center with the children in your life to experience the magic we take great pride in creating here. Santa Claus will be visiting each weekend from November 26 through December 18. Check out our events page for details.
