Going to the dogs…and monkeys!

Here at Edward’s Garden Center, we’re really getting into the swing of things!

We’re excited to kick off the spring and summer seasons with some fun for everyone. First, with our “Name the Monkey” contest and second, with the reopening of Annie’s Lunchbox for the season.

We love animals!

You may have noticed that we love all creatures. All kinds of animals. Real and plastic.  In addition to the dozens of animals we have throughout the garden center for children to meet in our scavenger hunt, we also have other whimsical creatures hanging around…monkeys, gnomes and our giant Yeti.  But the creature we often hear the most about, is our monkey hanging around our sign on the side of the Cross Valley Expressway.  We dress this monkey for all seasons, holidays and occasions. But the one thing this monkey does not have to wear, is a name. That’s where you come in!

Here are the details of our “Name the Monkey” contest.

1. You must enter the contest in person here at Edward’s.
2. You may enter the contest once per person.
3. There is no cost to enter.
4. The contest ends on May 31st.
5. The winner will be announced the first week of June and will receive a gift certificate to Edward’s Garden Center.

After you’ve visited our gift shop to browse and enter our contest, you’ll definitely want to visit all of our animals and enjoy our numerous water features. Breathe in all of the beauty that we love to share here at the garden center. With all of that activity, you may have worked up a thirst or hunger. If you’re visiting us during the weekend, be sure to stop by Annie’s Lunchbox…our concession stand whose name has been inspired by a very special dog.

Meet the special dog who inspired Annie’s Lunchbox.

Owners Ed and Margy Kopec picked Annie from a litter of seven. She is a Jack pug, which is a Jack Russell and pug mix. She tugged at their hearts with her playful energy!

Annie is so good natured and well behaved. She loves to visit the garden center and  show off the tricks she knows.

Annie’s Lunchbox offers hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream, slushies, and we have recently added specialty cookies with Annie’s face on them and the face of our Yeti!

Annie’s Lunchbox is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 4 PM in the warmer seasons to provide hungry shoppers with the fuel they need to keep exploring and enjoying!
