Happiness Happens Here at Our Garden Center

We like to think that Edward’s Garden Center is a special place year-round, but something truly magical happens each year around the holiday season.  If you ask anyone who has been here, they’ll probably mention our beautiful trees and decorations but their eyes will get an extra twinkle when they say it has a lot to do with Santa!

Santa has been bringing smiles and sharing laughs with children each year when he visits Edward’s.

Make no mistake. We get excited when Santa visits Edward’s Garden Center too.  But it truly warms our hearts when we hear from customers just how special their visit is here during the holiday season.  In fact, this year we had the privilege to share in one of the most beautiful memories that two people can share…a proposal of marriage. Tim reached out to Edward’s to say how much he and his girlfriend Amanda, and their son, enjoy visiting the garden center throughout the year. So he wanted to ask a very important question at Edward’s with Santa’s help.  We helped arrange the perfect marriage proposal. Santa was in on it and had the very special package ready to hand off to Amanda. Then Tim lowered to one knee and asked Amanda if she would marry him.  She said, “Yes!”  We could not be happier for them and hope that the rest of their lives together are just as magical as that beautiful proposal.

In addition to joyful moments of children dancing with Santa and sharing stories with him about their love for family members–not just requests for presents–we’ve also witnessed furry family members greet Santa.  We always welcome pets here at the garden center, as long as they are on a leash and managed by their human.  And as most visitors already know, we love families to come and visit our variety of animals housed throughout the garden center. We want kids to have fun here! We encourage them to do our scavenger hunt to meet all of our animals, pick up a popsicle stick at each animal habitat and then receive a fun reward at the end.

Over the past nearly two years, the pandemic has kept us a bit farther apart. Here at Edward’s we have not held workshops and events but we hope to bring people together again in 2022.  In the meantime, check out our photo gallery of past events showing the smiles and good times that were shared!

Edward’s Garden Center is a place for animals. We love people to visit our animals and we are happy to help our friends at Blue Chip Animal Refuge. So we were very happy to meet a rescue named Pepper this holiday season.

Santa was so kind that he wanted to meet with everyone in the family…furry members too, like Loki and Bella.

So for all the cynics out there who think there is no magic left, please believe!  Because there is. And we experience here at Edward’s.
